Individualized education program for K-8th grade students with mild learning disabilities.
Program designed for students with mild learning disabilities
Students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) manifest a disorder in one or more of the basic psychological processes involved in understanding or using language (spoken or written), which may manifest itself in difficulty in listening, thinking, speaking, reading, writing, spelling or mathematical calculations. There is a significant discrepancy between achievement and intellectual abilities.
The program is designed to help students meet the educational needs of their grade level. Since each student is unique in his or her educational needs, an educational plan will be developed. Participation in this special program is not only limited to students with learning disabilities, but also to those who face challenges in math, English and Spanish.
